LIME FOR
EVERYDAY LIFE
Steel & Metallurgy
Steel - Converting iron ore to pig iron; as flux agents in primary furnace operations, and refractory sustainability.
Metallurgy - Refining metal ores and non-ferrous metals such as copper, zinc, nickel, gold, silver, and aluminum - Subaan offers a customized range of lime solutions for processes such as pH control or buffering, direct chemical extraction of metals from ore, chemical refining, and control of the environmental impact of this sector.
Environment
Flue Gas Cleaning - Subaan ensures the smooth running of Flue Gas Cleaning systems worldwide by supplying quality reagents and sorbents to capture polluting gases.
Water Treatment - We provide specialized products and processes for drinking water treatment. These may also be used in treating or purifying water/wastewater in industrial processes or wastewater and sludge from municipalities
Waste Treatment - Subaan helps you dealing with contaminated soils and polluted sites
Manafacturing Markets
Paper and Pulp - PCC or precipitated calcium carbonate is used in order to maximize paper’s whiteness, opacity and consistency. Paper’s basic component, pulp, also needs lime during the manufacturing stage.
Chemical Processes – Subaan products support the production of many consumer goods such as soap, glue, sugar cubes, leather and more, specific lime purity and particle size distribution allow you to produce final products with confidence.
Animal Feed Additive
High calcium ground limestone is an economical source of essential minerals for the animal feed industry. Supplementing with limestone results in stronger bones and strengthened egg shells for better overall animal health.
Glass & Fiberglass
Glass is manufactured by heating a mixture of limestone, silica sand, and soda ash to around 1,500°C. Our high calcium limestone sand is a key component in the production of high quality architectural, automotive, and container glass. Characterized by low iron content, our limestone benefits glass producers by aiding in the production of colorless glass.
Construction
Mortars made with lime and cement exhibit superior workability balanced with appropriate compressive strength as well as low water permeability and superior bond strength. Lime is a major constituent in exterior and interior stuccos and plasters, enhancing the strength, durability, and workability of these finishes.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) - Lime is also employed in the manufacturing of innovative lightweight cellular concrete products, such as autoclaved aerated concrete which can be formed into block as well as large masonry units or insulation slabs.
Other Concrete Products - Hydrated lime can be added to concrete mix used to make block and other concrete products in order to produce a denser, more water-resistant product.
Calcium Silicate Brick - Calcium silicate (sand-lime) brick is employed in standard masonry construction in the same manner as common clay brick. Lime is also used to make hollow sand-lime building block, tile, slabs, and pipes.
